etc. It could convert FLAC to MKV, DVD to M4B (MPEG-4 audiobook), DTS to M4R (iPhone ringtone), M4A to Wii and DS, 3GP to WMA, VOB to MKA, and so on.
The software supports batch conversion. It is full compatible
with 32-bit and 64-bit editions Windows 10/8/7/Vista/XP/2000.
What is ADTS?
ADTS stands for Audio Data Transport Stream. ADTS is a container for AAC encoded
audio. It consists of a series of frames, each frame having a header followed
by the AAC audio data. The formats are defined in MPEG-2 Part 7, but are only
considered informative by MPEG-4.
AAC compressed audio data may be stored in either an MPEG-4 container file
format (.mp4, .m4a) or more basic MPEG-2 based file formats such as a ADTS (.aac,
.adts) Audio Data Transport Stream file.
An MPEG-4 file contains a header that includes meta-data followed by "tracks"
which can include video as well as audio data, for example, H.264 encoded Video
and AAC encoded Audio.
ADTS in contrast is a streaming format consisting of a series of frames, each
frame having a header followed by the AAC data.
Therefore, a decoder can start playing a ADTS stream at any point within that
stream making it ideal for "radio" like applications. To decode an MPEG-4
file however, the file header must first be read in order to properly playback
the file.
What is MP2?
MPEG-1 Audio Layer II (MP2, sometimes incorrectly called Musicam) is a lossy audio
codec defined by ISO/IEC 11172-3. While MP3 is much more popular for PC and internet
applications, MP2 remains a dominant standard for audio broadcasting.
MP2 began in the late 1980s as part of the ISO's Moving Picture Experts Group
(MPEG) effort to standardize digital audio and video encoding for digital radio
and TV broadcasting (DAB, DMB, DVB), and use on Video CD. The MPEG-1 audio standard
was based on the existing MUSICAM and ASPEC audio formats. The MPEG-1 standard,
including the three audio "layers" (encoding techniques) now known as
MP1, MP2 and MP3, was finalized by December 1991 in the committee draft of ISO-11172.
MPEG audio was further promoted due to its Layer III (MP3) component, which allowed
for even lower bitrates.
